Thanksgiving Thankfulness

Hello everyone. :) I had intended to post another hair tutorial this week, but will need to wait until another week on that. :) Since Thanksgiving is soon to be here, I would like to spend some time giving thanks.  First of all, I am thankful for my Heavenly Father. Without Him, life is empty. God is the source of all true joy, love and peace. I love these Bible texts which draw my heart out in thankfulness to my God.  " The eyes of all wait upon thee; and thou givest them their meat in due season. Thou openest thine hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing. The LORD is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works. The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth." Psalm 145:15-18   (KJV)  https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/Psalms-145-15/ Secondly, I am thankful for my family. I am truly blessed to be born into the family I was born into. I love both my immediate family and my extended family. If any of you

The Cross, My Hard Heart and Jesus' Transformation

The Cross, My Hard Heart and Jesus' Transformation  Written by me on 3/19/19 (edited by me on 3/22/19) (copied and pasted from a Facebook post I made on 3/22/19) "We cannot reach the ends of the earth until we have reached the end of ourselves." Steve Conway # GYC18 "Before we can reach the deepest, darkest corners of the world, we must let God reach the deepest, darkest corners of our hearts." Taj Pacleb #GYC18 Last night, God gave me a revelation about myself. I cried for a few minutes and prayed earnestly and then I knew that God had set my heart free and that He had indeed given me my heart's desire, which was in accordance with His will. God showed me that I really did love myself supremely. I told God, "I don't really love anybody!" I was so sorrowful, so disturbed by the things that I was seeing about myself. Wasn't jealousy the first sin? Isn't pride jealousy's twin? Why can't I be happy for others to h

Cornrow Twist Hair Tutorial

Hello everyone. :) I hope that this hair tutorial is easy to understand and that it will be helpful to someone. I'd like to mention a few things in this description that I neglected to mention in the video. Firstly, in my video, I ended up not using the hairbrush. For a smoother look, it's a good idea to brush the hair with a bristle hairbrush before twisting it. For my curly and/or kinky headed friends, I recommend using a dry brush or a slightly damp brush at most.  This will help to prevent your curls from shrinking up and creating a frizzy look to your twist. Secondly, I twist the hair in the back of my head in very simple, fat twists at night. It isn't just the front that is " contained" at night. Thirdly, I'd like to extend a big thankyou to my sister for filming and editing my video. It is such a blessing to have helpful family members.  :) Lastly, I want to thank God for every gift He had given me: including the gift of being able to learn how to do

Isaiah 58: A Recipe for Spiritual Revival and True Joy

Hello everyone! A couple of weeks ago, in "My Re-baptism" post, I promised to share what I had learned at a youth conference earlier this year on  the beauty of the message of Isaiah 58; therefore, today's topic is "Isaiah 58: A Recipe for Spiritual Revival and True Joy". While attending a wonderful youth conference earlier this year, I was especially captivated by the messages that one of the speakers was sharing. This speaker shared many wonderful insights, but I'll only focus on one of them in this post; he encouraged us to live out the message of Isaiah 58.  What I gathered from what he shared is that by living life as God prescribed for us to live in this chapter, we will be overcoming sin. This makes perfect sense to me because sin began through Lucifer's selfishness (Lucifer is now Satan: Revelation 12:7-9; Isaiah 14:12-15; Ezekiel 28:12-17) . To become truly unselfish is to become like God because God is unselfish. How beautiful! Isaiah 58
