Simple, Delightful Breakfast Cereal

Hello everyone. :)

Today I want to share a very simple breakfast idea with you all. This breakfast idea probably did not originate with my family, but I think that I probably learned about it from my mother. Breakfast should be a great meal; I hope that what I am about to share will make someone's first meal of the day better. :)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Part 1: For the evening before.

Step 1: Heat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Step 2: Take out a cookie sheet or glass pan (such as Pyrex; ). You do not need to oil the pan before putting oats on it. Spread out quick or rolled oats on it. The oats should be spread out evenly.

Step 3: Put the pan in the oven. Watch it carefully. Stir or flip over the oats with a metal or wooden spoon or spatula every few minutes. The oats will burn quickly if you don't keep an eye on them.

Step 4: When your oats become golden, take the pan out and allow it to cool. You can eat the oats while they are still warm, but they will turn into a sort of oatmeal if you put milk on them. If you like them that way, that's fine. If you want them to be a bit more crunchy (I think that toasted rolled oats may stay "crunchier" than toasted quick oats), put them in the refrigerator once they are cool enough and leave them there overnight.

Tip: It is okay if you make more toasted oats than you will eat in a day. You can easily save the rest for later; the freezer is very accommodating. :)

Part 2: For the morning.

Step 1: Put the toasted oats into your bowl.

Step 2: Top them with dried fruit such as raisins, dates, figs etc. You could also use sliced bananas and walnuts.

Step 3: Pour a nondairy milk over your cereal. Some examples of non-dairy milks are the following: soy, almond, coconut and cashew.

Step 4: Enjoy!

Have a great week everyone!
