Hello everyone. :)

Today I will share some insights I have gained from a conversation with friends along with some insights that God gave me personally. I love seeing how various individuals in the Bible reflected Jesus in their lives. :)

Some of the verses I will be sharing may give readers the impression that God is a harsh, exacting God; however, when we read widely in the Bible, we can clearly see that God is both a God of justice and of mercy.

"Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy." Micah 7:18 (KJV) https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/Micah-7-18/

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
17 That hath taken off his hand from the poor, that hath not received usury nor increase, hath executed my judgments, hath walked in my statutes; he shall not die for the iniquity of his father, he shall surely live." Ezekiel 18:14-17 (KJV) https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/Ezekiel-Chapter-18/

Having established that the character of God is good, loving and fair, I will now share the insight I gained from my discussion with friends regarding Job being a type of Christ along with some insights God gave me personally.
"For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus..." 1 Timothy 2:5 (KJV) https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/1-Timothy-2-5/

"By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament. And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death: But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood. Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens; Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did once, when he offered up himself. " Hebrews 7:22-25 (KJV)https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/Hebrews-Chapter-7/

"The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise." Psalm 51:17 (KJV) https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/Psalms-51-17/

In a sense, Job served as a mediator between God and his friends. How beautiful! Job's friends brought sacrifices to the Lord, and Job prayed for them.

I really love how God not only pardoned Eliphaz, Bildad and Zophar, but He blessed Job for interceding on their behalf.

"And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before." Job 42:10 (KJV)https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/Job-42-10/

Since the sacrifices in the Old Testament pointed to Jesus, who died for the sins of the world, we no longer have to give animal sacrifices to God (Hebrews 7:25; John 1:29). Still, the story of Job gives us a beautiful example of a man who revealed an aspect of Jesus' current work in heaven through interceding on behalf of his friends.

God is a beautiful God and His Word is full of amazing insights. I want to encourage all of you to pray for the Holy Spirit's guidance and then to spend quality time in the Bible. Blessings. :)
